It can be used by any artist no matter what level of success they have found thus far. It starts with the fundamentals and continues to go into greater depth as you read on. At times in the music industry you may read some random information that seems so simplistic that you instantly think, now why didn’t I think of that? This book is full of those moments and are terrific little reminders to all performing and touring musicians to step back from the chaos and get back to business.

Whether its read from beginning to end in one sitting or tackled one chapter at a time it allows you to create workable goals as you climb the latter of success. Moore has done the research for you, he spells things out in layman’s terms and also provides links and insights from others who have followed the same path and found success. All creative types understand small stepping stones lead to the bigger picture; this book is built stone by stone.

There is also an added bonus at the end where Moore interviews producer/engineer Stuart Epps, who has worked with legends such as Led Zepplin, Elton John, George Harrison, Oasis, Twisted Sister, Jeff Beck and Paul Rodgers to name a few. His career spans over 40 years of this ever changing industry. It is always nice to read about the stories and experiences of those who have lived what you are currently pursuing. Their perceptivity undoubtedly provides inspiration to the generations that follow.

The industry exists because someone has made it, there is no reason why that someone cannot be you. James Moore’s book, “Your Band is a Virus”, is an incredible starting point and will help you set a plan to make your dreams come alive.
