HBO USES DARYL HALL AND JOHN OATES SONG FOR NEW SERIES

Hit-making duo Daryl Hall and John Oates have proven over the years that they know a little something about the ladies. So when Emmy ®-winning producer Stephen Merchant, co-creator and executive producer of the just-premiered new HBO series, Hello Ladies, was looking for a theme song that would fit the show’s narrative about looking for love in all the wrong places, he knew precisely where to turn. After all, what musical pair is more familiar with the vagaries of romance than Daryl Hall and John Oates, whose 1975 song, “Alone Too Long,” can be heard over the opening credits in the new, eagerly anticipated show from the co-creator of BBC’s The Office with Ricky Gervais and executive producer of the U.S. version.
