CHRIS JAMES NEW SINGLE “GHOST”

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, James first developed a passion for music when a woman from his father’s job gave his family an antique player piano, the type of old-school piano that can play itself. James would spend hours following the notes the piano played, in effect teaching himself how to read music. His father’s friend from work also left stacks of books of music, tomes James read repeatedly. When he learned how to play “Amazing Grace,” a new world presented itself. “Once I started learning how to play songs,” he says, “it really inspired me to make my own songs.”

By 2012, James’ music made its way to Rich America and John Monopoly, the veteran manager and talent scout who has worked with Kanye West, No I.D. and Shawnna, among others. James says that John Monopoly’s guidance has been invaluable.

Dennen and Daryl match harmonies on Brett’s “Only Want You” (featuring a tasty Shane Theriot mandolin solo), the album’s single, “When We Were Young,” “Wild Child,” and “Don’t Mess With Karma.”

WIRE: YOUNG AUNDEE’S “AMAZING GRACE” PREMIERE

Young Aundee, known as Andrew James Southard to his peers, exudes an eclectic and unpredictably addicting sound that perfectly compliments the evocative melancholy of his vocals. Growing up in a sheltered fundamentalist household, Southard withdrew into a diverse mixture of electronic, dub, reggae, and punk influence that nurtured him and motivated him to run away from home at the age of 16. His live performances remind of and show inspiration from the likes of Karin Dreijer Andersson and Dave Gahan. Southard’s remarkable voice effortlessly combines stark vulnerability with an intensity that lifts and moves.

LOSTON REWORKS BANKS’ “WAITING GAME”

Seeking an innocent escape from his daily grind as a reputable Graphic Designer, Perth-based producer Loston was barely ankle deep in 2013’s sea of breakthrough electronic producers when he released his inaugural remix of James Blake’s “Retrograde”. The remix garnered international attention within days of it’s release and what had originally begun as a hobby quickly manifested into a quarter million combined plays across SoundCloud and YouTube, mentions on various ‘Who Got Next’ lists and a sweeping fan base that were as green to his music as he was.

JOHN 00 FLEMING CREATES 4-HOUR – 42 TRACK COMPILATION

John 00 Fleming proudly admits he’ll always be a DJ first, a statement that is firmly backed up by the impressive statistic of selling over 10 million compilations albums over the past 17 years. In the current marketplace of producer/DJs, these figures–combined with his unique, unwavering talent–make him one of the most respected DJs on the planet, with one of the longest and healthiest careers.

Although there’s no hiding the fact that John has been disgruntled with the current commercial intrusion into the scene (see his many essays on the subject), he decided to focus on creating an environment that allowed him to express himself musically as a true DJ and thus, the “JOOF Editions” tour concept was born. Dark room, big sound systems, hidden DJ booths and extended sets have been the simple recipe that have attracted like-minded music lovers from across the globe. 32 sold out JOOF Edition gigs around the world last year show just how popular his concept has become.

NSFW VIDEO FROM ECLECTICMETHOD

Money, Sex, Drugs… The American Dream, sorry I mean a terrible travesty committed by Jordan Belfort and committed to film by Martin Scorsese. Not only did Matthew McConaughey win best actor Oscar but he also lay the beat down for Wolf. This video contains NSFW drug abuse to a tribal chest thumping capitalist tribal chant.
