DAWN LANDES PREMIERES VIDEO FOR “HOME”

Brooklyn-based, Louisville-bred, songwriter, Dawn Landes, premiered a new video for the song “Home” yesterday via KCRW off her new album Bluebird, out now on Western Vinyl. Directed by Thomas Aufort, the video features actress Diane Rouxel who stars in the upcoming Larry Clark film, “The Smell Of Us”. Dawn Landes is currently on tour supporting Bryan Ferry on the West Coast of the U.S., before heading to Europe late May.

NEW SINGLE BY BLANK PAPER

Blank Paper have unveiled the second single from their upcoming EP, “Step Into My Office”. It’s a synthy 80’s inspired dance track with seductive undertones. According to Blank Paper singer Marie Kim, “‘Step Into My Office’ is a cheeky song about trying to get closer to a mysterious someone.” Blank Paper’s EP will be out this June, but advance streams will be selectively available for review purposes.

WIRE: BRY WEBB’S “RECEIVE ME” PREMIERES ON STEREOGUM

Stereogum is premiering “Receive Me” from Bry Webb’s forthcoming Free Will, out May 20 on Idée Fixe Records. Of the song, Stereogum says, “The sound and feel of this music are unmistakable, especially when Webb raises his voice to a weathered howl. After co-founding legendary D.C. gogo band TOB, Gleesh rose to local rap prominence through the release of several street mixtapes that showcase his sometimes dark, sometimes comedic, but always original style of street rap, aptly titled Shitbag Music. Since he began, Gleesh frequently collaborated with MMG-signee Fat Trel, Chicago Based music group GBE’s Fredo Santana, Ballout & Capo. In early 2013 he fielded an offer to join Gucci Mane’s 1017 Bricksquad outfit and featured on tracks with 1017 members such as PeeWee Longway.

WIRE: THE TEEN AGE PREMIERE VIDEO FOR FIRST SINGLE “SLEEP ALONE”

Brooklyn quartet, The Teen Age, have announced their debut EP, Ways To Adapt, will arrive on June 3 via PaperCup Music, and have premiered a video for the first single off the record, “Sleep Alone”, today via IMPOSE. Directed by Stephen Venezia and Dan Giraldo of Nimblefox Productions, whose credits include Paramore and Girl Talk, the video features vocalist/guitarist Matt Degorio doing his best, or worst, to try and never have to sleep alone. Featuring four new songs, singer/guitarist Degorio, said of the tunes, “All the songs on the EP grew out of a certain emptiness I had after a bad breakup, and how I tried to cope and adapt through different vices.” Ways To Adapt was recorded at Madpan Studios in New York with Producer Uri Djemal.

NEW SINGLE POSTED BY ADELITAS WAY

“Dog On a Leash” is the first release from Adelitas Way since Home School Valedictorian, released on 2011. Via Virgin Records, this release will be included on a full length album out later this year. Under producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Evanescence), the band has been hard at work working on their new album for the past several months. Pastor Hilliard is passionate that “This town hall discussion is not just an opportunity to voice frustration; its purpose is to determine how we can best resolve this epidemic.”   We will examine and dissect the wrongs, and with open eyes, will fashion viable solutions to right them; with particular focus on obtainable options for job-readiness programs, summer employment, literacy programs, GED application process, HIV testing, as well as other major concerns within the communities.

AIDEN JUDE TAKES ON EDM AT AGE 10

Every so often a new act arises that gets everyone talking, and so enter BLONDE. BLONDE are Adam Englefield and Jacob Manson. Two young Bristolians who met over the internet via Adam’s Youtube Channel “Eton Messy” and have been making sweet music ever since.

Blog readers might be familiar with them — they’ve hit #1 on aggregator the Hypemachine with their bootleg house versions of 90s dance and R&B classics. In the process they have racked up over 1.5 million plays on Soundcloud and 1.5 million plays on Youtube.

LIL BIBBY JOINS TRAE THE TRUTH ON “I AM KING” TOUR
